It is a small, remote mountain school founded in 1919 (8th year of the Republic of China). With over a century of history, the school is known as "the most remote backyard garden" and "a pearl in the valley." Surrounded by lush green mountains and clear streams, the area is a treasured gift from the ancestors to the people of Gan Jiao and a rare gem longed for by modern city dwellers. The rich natural ecosystem, pristine environment, and fresh air have earned the area the nickname "Little Venice in the Mountains," as praised by the roadside sign. Ganlin Elementary School offers a wide range of distinctive school-based programs, including samba drumming, poetry recitation, percussion music, and ukulele. Centered on the philosophy of "providing a fair stage for children to develop their talents," the school aims to cultivate lifelong learners with the abilities to explore nature, care about humanity, and meet the challenges of the new century through its vision focused on "knowledge, character, diversity, social skills, and creativity."
